Spherene for nTop Tutorial 7: Guiding Fluids with Flow Direction
Designing for cooling or fluid flow? Flow Direction shapes your ADMS structure to move fluids more easily, making it especially valuable for heat exchangers.
In this video you'll learn how to:
- Set up Flow Direction using a point map, with a point list and a vector list, much like density and surface bias
- Create flow channels through your structure to ease fluid movement from one side to the other
- Add intensity from 0 to 10 (0% to 100%) to push the flow more strongly in a chosen direction
- Compare a traditional ADMS, a structure with flow channels, and one with directed, intensified flow
See how Flow Direction guides fluid from the bottom to the top of the cylinder, far more effectively than a traditional ADMS.
