Spherene for nTop Tutorial 8: Adding Directional Strength with Scatter Vector
Sometimes a part needs to stretch or stiffen in a particular direction. Scatter Vector gives you that control, stretching your structure and its volcanoes along the direction you choose.
In this video you'll learn how to:
- Define a scatter vector with a point map and a vector list to stretch your structure in a specific direction
- Set a magnitude to control how much the structure elongates
- Use two scatter vectors to create a gradual stretch across one region, then hold it constant, reduce it, or increase it beyond
- Introduce controlled anisotropy where your design needs it
Watch the structure stretch cleanly along the X direction, and see how using two vectors lets you blend a stretched region into an untouched, traditional ADMS.
