Surface Bias lets you fine-tune your geometry by shifting the minimal surface to one side or the other, giving you precise control over the final shape.
In this video you'll learn how to:
- Shift the minimal surface from its ideal position, anywhere from -1 to +1
- Feed the value in as a point map, using a point list and a value list
- Apply a single point so the bias spreads across the whole structure, much like density
- Compare the same shape at +1 and -1 to see how the surface moves
You're never locked to the extremes: any value in between, like 0.5 or -0.5, works just as well. Surface Bias is especially useful in heat exchangers when you need to shift the surface in a specific direction.
